About JobCop

A safer space toreport job scams

JobCop is a private reporting channel for fraudulent recruiters, fake job postings, and phishing attempts. We collect detailed reports from job seekers and review them privately to help identify patterns and protect others.

Confidential by default

Reports are never published, sold, or shared with the recruiter named in them. Only a small team of administrators can read submissions.

Reviewed by humans

Every submission is read by a real administrator. We don't auto-publish, auto-name, or auto-flag context and judgment matter when a person's reputation is involved.

Built for job seekers

JobCop exists to protect candidates from manipulation, identity theft, and financial fraud during the hiring process a moment when people are already vulnerable.

What JobCop is and isn't

JobCop is a reporting channel. It is not a public scammer database, a legal service, or a substitute for filing a report with law enforcement when money or personal data has been lost.

In its current MVP stage, the focus is on safe data collection and moderation. Over time, the platform will surface aggregated, anonymized patterns common contact methods, payment-request red flags, and brand-impersonation trends without exposing individual reporters or accused recruiters.

If you have a suspicious interaction to share, you can submit a report. It takes about a minute.
