Make hiringhonest again
Job scams cost candidates time, money, and trust. We want to make it easier to recognize them, harder for them to scale, and safer to talk about what happened, so the next person sees the warning before they fall for it.
Lower the cost of reporting
Most scam interactions go unreported because the existing channels are slow, public, or unclear about who's on the other side. We make reporting take a minute and stay private.
Turn reports into patterns
Individual reports are useful. Aggregated, anonymized reports are powerful they expose the recurring tactics, scripts, and channels scammers reuse across thousands of victims.
Protect reporters first
A reporting platform that exposes its reporters fails its purpose. Confidentiality, careful moderation, and minimal data retention are not features they're the product.
Share what we learn
As the dataset grows, we'll publish trend reports, recruiter red-flag guides, and warning signals that help candidates and honest employers alike.
Where we are today
JobCop is in its MVP stage. The first priority is building a trustworthy intake channel: a form that collects useful detail, a verification step that keeps reports tied to real inboxes, and a moderation flow that respects everyone involved.
Pattern detection, public guides, and recruiter-side transparency tools come next but only on top of a healthy reporting base. Quality of input first; clever output later.
Help us spot the patterns
Every report you submit makes the dataset stronger and the next candidate safer.
